| The World Contest |
The world contest will be on November 2nd, 2002.
After the national contests each country finalist will have to enter the world contest.
Sixty or so finalists will compete at the finals. The election itself given this rather large figure will be done in successive stages: from 60 finalists down to 30, down to 15, down to the finalist.
The worldwide finals will be broadcast live, as was the case for all the national contests, so that both TV viewers and net surfers can vote again.
To reach the largest possible audience, net surfers will have the possibility to start voting 24 hours prior to these finals given the time differences between theirs and the actual web-site chosen for the world contest.
The TV channel that will broadcast the contest live will be that of the country where these finals will actually take place.
Naturally all licensees will be given first priority to the broadcasting rights in their own territories.
